Fiesta de Reyes

  • dsc03070

San Diego’s Fiesta de Reyes is tucked away in historic Old Town San Diego where it pays tribute to its colorful roots. What was once a mid-1800s frontier settlement is now an alluring courtyard featuring 19 shops, three restaurants and a boutique hotel. Although the area has been built up since its early days, it still maintains features celebrating the past like the foundation of the 1850’s Mexican-style adobe home of Reyes-Ybanez de Dominguez, the family which the Fiesta de Reyes is named after. Additionally Renee Tey, the resident artist, is responsible for decorating the area with her old-world Mexican folk artwork.
